Ideas for your own word search
Family: the names of the grandchildren, cousins and pets, for a reunion or a holiday table.
A birthday or anniversary: the name, the town, favorite foods and songs.
A class or Sunday school: this week's spelling words or the names in the class.
An activity room: the month's events, the season, the local team.
Questions
Is it free? Yes. No sign-up, no watermark, as many puzzles as you like.
Is every word in there once? Yes. Each word is hidden exactly once, so there is never a second copy to argue about. If one word is part of another, like Ann and Anna, the maker asks you to drop one.
What size should I pick? "Fit the words" makes the grid just big enough. Bigger grids are harder; across and down only is easiest for children and for large print.
